Bellarmine University Student

Louisville native, Payten Downing, recently moved back to Kentucky from Michigan. She is a first-year student majoring in nursing and minoring in photography. Her favorite holiday is Christmas because it is fun and people are happy. Some of Payten's hobbies include triathlons, personal training and photography. We both enjoy participating in the 5K Color Run. Her dream vacation is to Island-hop around Greece. Although, she just went on a mission trip to Haiti. As a matter of fact, her scariest memory has to do with Haiti riots. The mission trip came to a halt for three days!

Ideas for Project 1: What does the future hold? I want to focus on the advancements of technology and how it is going to shape the future. The ultimate goal is to make technology as useful to humanity as possible, but what happens if we inadvertently become completely reliant on technology. My project would look at how technology has advanced over time, what advancements are coming and how they are/are going to affect society. We already are seeing new generations developing addictions and dependency on the technology around them. I want to look at the pros and cons of becoming a world that has integrated technology into every aspect of life.
