Idea for Project 1

I want my project to be about how education is going to look in the future. It would focus on the way that technology has impacted the education system. If children are learning and are dependent on screens for education, what would that look like? And how would that affect the way children develop? I am thinking about having pictures of students alone, being taught by teachers on screens, a teacher using technology to teach students in multiple places at the same time, and other similar images.

    Very interesting idea, because this is one of the big questions that we need to discuss. What is the connection between technology and the students? What are the pros and cons?

    Like Jonathan, I think this is a complex and critical topic for the future of our culture. There should be plenty of material for your research in terms of the advantages and disadvantages of current technology in the classroom, and I'm certain things are changing at a fast pace. It sounds as though you're addressing issues of socialization/isolation here as well as access to information.

Ideas for Project 1: What does the future hold? I want to focus on the advancements of technology and how it is going to shape the future. The ultimate goal is to make technology as useful to humanity as possible, but what happens if we inadvertently become completely reliant on technology. My project would look at how technology has advanced over time, what advancements are coming and how they are/are going to affect society. We already are seeing new generations developing addictions and dependency on the technology around them. I want to look at the pros and cons of becoming a world that has integrated technology into every aspect of life.
