Will's Final Project Idea

For my final project I am going to make a commercial site with the purpose of selling cyber-terrorism services. Over the past few years this form of terrorism has become much more common. There are different acts of cyber-terrorism, but the most common are Doxing, DDoSing and Swatting. Doxing is when someones personal information is leaked onto the web in areas that many people are going to see it. This information includes full name, address, phone numbers, banking information, SSN, etc.. DDoSing stands for Distributed Denial of Service. Basically a Denial-of-Serivce-Attack is an attack that keeps people form properly using the internet. This can be used to shut down a site or even be more focused to keep one person from connecting to the internet all together. Swatting is when a fake police report is made that sends the police to the victims house or place of business. The attacker will usually report a high-priority situation so that the local police approach the situation with as much caution as possible (it is called "swatting" because the nature of the reports would usually require swat attention).

This site's purpose is to commentate on how common these acts are becoming. It is a good time to talk on this issue now with the growing focus on it in the news. There was just a recent case of swatting that resulted in a completely random person (there was an intended target but the attacker had the wrong address) dying. The attacker is facing life in prison. A plea deal has been made that will give him 20-25 years, should the judge accept it. The site will allow you to purchase different levels of cyber-terroristic attacks. The three will be the three aforementioned versions of cyber-terrorism.
