What The Future Holds
For my project, I want to focus on the advancement of social media and what it will look like in the future. I believe that technology will take the media to a new level. I read from an article that facebook did some research on the trends on the media and they reported that people only spend 1.7 second looking at a piece of content where as a video they spend 5 times longer. I want to create a page where social media all comes together in one page. It will be video based and voice memos. A computer will no longer need a key board but instead a voice recorder.
Project 1: What the future may hold.
Project 1 ideas: 1. The Future of AI learning and the technology singularity. I am going to research into the future of AI deep learning and the possible outcomes of the ever quicker creation of new technology. I will explore things like the Watson AI and the social AI Sophia.
Project one ideas
My idea for project one is to make an artsy page that depicts a look on reality were we can longer tell the difference between what is real and what is simulated. In a fake world humanity is still able to find and create meaning in some way.
Lucas' Project 1 Idea
My idea is to depict a modern day iteration of George Orwell's "1984." This can talk about a variety of things such as technology (i.e. Telescreens --> Cell Phones), acceptance of lies (i.e. Doublethink), and hate propaganda. Basically, this is a comparison of "1984" and the real world today.
Molly Jett Project 1 Idea
My idea for this blog is to talk about media. I am hoping to showcase the future life of a journalist. The field of communication is changing every day. In the past few years, journalist have not only had to use scripts and TV broadcasting, but also twitter, Facebook and Instagram lives in their every day tools. In the future, I bet there will be more technology that will need to be used to keep storytelling relevant in our fast-paced society. So, I would like my project to focus on the future lives of new station employees and the consumers (society.) I woud like my setting to be a new station.
My idea for this project is the future of America. I want to look at Americas future political system, future ecosystems, and future economy. Im thinking with the current politicians in office there will be changes to the American political system maybe a third party. I think with current coal and lumber usage the ecosystems in the US are going to disappear or become to polluted to use, and I think the future economy is going to crumble, the Us is in a system where the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and unless something changes I feel that its going to destroy the economy
Project 1 ideas
Ideas for what the future may hold: impacts of pollution on the environment. I will focus my project on the impacts pollution may have in the future. Overtime, if the problem of pollution isn't addressed then it will have drastic impacts on both the environment and society. I will focus on water pollution when working in photoshop. Water pollution is causing coral reefs to bleach and die. The death of coral reefs are a bigger threat to coast lines than rising sea levels. Other potential ideas: technology- development of super artificial intelligence, technology incorporated into every aspect of life, internet censorship/loss of privacy. catastrophes- nuclear, cosmic space exploration
My idea for project one is the future of health. I am planning on being a nurse in the future and from what I have already studied there have been many advances in medical technology. My project will focus on the introduction of robots to replace many jobs. Today there are already robots that will bring you your medicine. I think that the use of robots will become more widespread. I do not think that robots will replace humans indefinedtly, but I do believe it will come a more common occurrence in the hospital. Also, I believe that there will be many advancements in technology alone making it more efficient and modern.
Maddie Black Project 1 Idea What the Future Holds My main idea for this project is to focus the advancement on interspecies communication. An example of this would include Koko the Gorilla and her ability to learn sign language and communicate with people. This is also related to animal tracking and different cultures, but has made its way to our culture.

Project Ideas: 1) Technology and the workplace: What is the way that has human and machine conflict? What does the future hold for technology in the workplace? I will focus on the impact that current technology has in the work place, mainly with autonomous systems. I will give an anecdote of current technology and analyze the cost/benefit relationship in all ways
Idea for Project 1 I want my project to be about how education is going to look in the future. It would focus on the way that technology has impacted the education system. If children are learning and are dependent on screens for education, what would that look like? And how would that affect the way children develop? I am thinking about having pictures of students alone, being taught by teachers on screens, a teacher using technology to teach students in multiple places at the same time, and other similar images. -Bailey Wiegandt

Ideas for Project 1: What does the future hold? I want to focus on the advancements of technology and how it is going to shape the future. The ultimate goal is to make technology as useful to humanity as possible, but what happens if we inadvertently become completely reliant on technology. My project would look at how technology has advanced over time, what advancements are coming and how they are/are going to affect society. We already are seeing new generations developing addictions and dependency on the technology around them. I want to look at the pros and cons of becoming a world that has integrated technology into every aspect of life.
